Book Blurb

For Crossroads Gin rock stars Miki, Damien, Rafe, and Forest, life is a Möbius strip of music, mayhem, and murder. Through it all, the sweet, hot moments between tours with lovers, friends, and family keep them sane, healthy, and happy. This Sinners collection features short stories spanning the entire series, from before the first note to after the lights go out.

Book Review

This book is appropriately titled as this truly is another sip of Sinners Gin filled with wonderful vignettes and shorts not seen before. It was exhilarating to revisit so many of my favorite characters and to occasionally see them in a new light.

Without Sinjun, I wouldn’t have… knuckled down and been serious about the band. I mean, I wanted it, but not… not until I tripped over that half-wild kid with his pretty face and that fucking voice. He needed feeding and someplace safe. It was like I found some gorgeous feral cat someone tossed out because it bit them one too many times.”

“Well, that’s Miki.” Sionn grunted, smiling at Damie’s serious nod.” ~ Damien and Sionn

I can’t begin to accurately describe the wonderful conversations I was privy to: Donal and Miki, Forest and Connor, Rafe and Quinn, Kane and Miki, Damien and Sionn, Miki and Damien, and of course, Miki, Damien, Forest and Rafe. The short that was all from the Dude’s perspective might just be the very best insight into Miki’s life before Kane. It is filled with dog humor and wisdom, not to mention fantastic names for some of the Pack.

No, I was going to need help. The problem with my human was too big for just one dog to take care of. I’d need a bigger voice than the one I had, one my human—my Miki—would listen to.

I was tired of my human tasting like tears. Tired of hoping he would find something he’d like to play with in the things I brought to him every day. I was going to have to bring him something—someone—grumpier than he was. I knew I felt better after a good fight. There was something about getting my blood stirred up that lifted the spirit even in the darkest of days.

That is what Miki needed. His blood stirred.

And I knew just the human to do it.” ~ Dude

Not to give any spoilers but being able to experience interviews with Miki, Damien, Kane, and Sionn; Damien and Sionn getting arrested in Ireland; Forest and Con’s wedding by Brigid; Donal and Miki cooking together; and Donal and Brigid in a quiet moment with some insight into how they met… was an utter joy and I shall cherish these glimpses into the lives of people who have become family over the years. A great big thank-you to the author for all this deliciousness.
