Devastated, Div must fight to rescue the man he loves, which involves a descent into the past, to French Vietnam, a step back in time to undo the deal he made with the devil many, many years ago—a deal to give him a second chance at love. Book Review

A baby who is both vampire and storm demon is bound to cause quite the ruckus in the underworld. That is Akua, Jimmy and Tem's nephew, and he is visiting them with his parents when, literally, all hell breaks loose. I have so much fun with this wonderful series by A.J. Llewellyn. 'Love's Blood' is the fourth book in the 'Vampire in Waikiki' series and each book brings something new, fun, and exciting to the lives of Jimmy and Tem, plus their loved ones.

Tem is kidnapped right out from their home, but when his brother Todah and his wife, Elenai, tell Jimmy that they came to visit them because they were being followed at their home, well Jimmy about blows a gasket that they hadn't bothered to mention this before. An old adversary from a long time ago that Jimmy thought was dead, Quen of the Nguyen lords from Vietnam, has come for the baby and he's willing to kill Tem and Jimmy if he can't have him. Even Blossom, Akua's godmother and the queen of the underworld, inadvertently led Quen straight to them.

Jimmy, Heavenly, and Clancy head to Vietnam so Jimmy can meet with the devil and find out why his henchman, Quen, was messing with Jimmy's family. Well, I'll certainly admit that the visual description the author gives to the devil was not what I was expecting at all. In fact, it made it even more interesting and entertaining! Jimmy had blanked from his memory the deal he made with the devil two hundred years ago and now his debt is coming due. The devil wants Akua in exchange for Tem. How will Jimmy decide?

This was one of the most exciting books of the series. Having Jimmy and his whole family visiting hell was pretty intense and there was quite a bit of drama to this book. A great addition to the series and I look forward to more. Thank you, A.J.
