THIRDS agent Dexter J. Daley can’t wait to marry his fiancé, Team Leader Sloane Brodie, but first he’s looking forward to celebrating his bachelor party—which he intends to be a shenanigans-free evening of getting his groove on with family and friends.

Of course events don’t work out as planned, but for Dex that’s nothing new. One thing is for sure, dodging drug dealers and hired thugs amid booze, dancing—and even a bear costume—will guarantee it’s a night Dex will never forget. Now he just needs to survive all the fun.

These events occur between Darkest Hour Before Dawn and Tried & True in the series timeline.

First edition published by Dreamspinner Press, October 2017.

Book Review

“Their city was in danger of being thrust into chaos the likes of which it had never seen. Sloane wasn’t ready. He wasn’t ready for his half-Therian mate to be out there without him....
“It’s just a bachelor party,” Dex assured him.
“Your bachelor party.”

I’m beyond ecstatic that the author decided to write this short novella set between ‘Darkest Hour Before Dawn’ and the as yet unreleased, ‘Tried & True’. I can never get enough of the THIRDS universe and I just know someday I’m going to be really old, sitting around rereading this series, and still laughing hysterically at Dexter J. Daley. He’s one of those characters you never forget and I will hold him close forever.

Personally I think Sloane is right in being a little concerned about sending Dex out to his bachelor party. The strangest things always seem to happen around Dex and trouble definitely follows him. It makes no difference that the entire Destructive Delta contingent is there along with some other THIRDS and TIN agents. Dex can get into trouble in no time flat. (Kudos to the author and Sloane for writing that super seekrit scene - yowza, it is hot!) Oh hell no, Dexter, you didn’t! Bwahahahaha!

It’s obvious from my review that I’m not saying a word about what went down the night of Dex’s bachelor party. Just think of Dex and the word ‘unimaginable’ and you’ll get the picture. Thank you, Charlie, I loved every moment. As a little tease, I’m leaving this:

“Other than the guys trying to kill him, the psycho with personal space issues, and the drug dealers, Dex had had an incredible time. He could have done without all the weirdness, but no one could say his bachelor party hadn’t been memorable.”
