Book Blurb

No one can tattoo better than Inigo, a two-hundred-year-old vampire, who works on human and supernatural skins. But he’s never tattooed a faerie, and when a bunch of them insist he comes with them to tattoo one of their kind, saying no proves not to be an option. His skin is Oberon, the faerie king, and Inigo fears this will be the last tattoo he’ll ever do.

The moment the faerie Micah lands in the faerie king’s bed chamber, he knows the guy is trouble. But if he’s to save his sister and his family, let alone do the job he’s paid to do, he has to stay in Faerieland and endure Oberon’s sadism.

When Micah is thrown into a starving vampire’s cell, covered in blood, he fears this day will be his last. But Inigo finds Micah's blood too delicious to give it up by killing him. Pretty soon, he's feeling that way about Micah himself.

Book Review

As an avid fan of Barbara Elsborg's I was super jazzed to read the description for 'Bloodline' as it held several of my favorite things. Vampires, fae, and two men coming together (HA!) to outthink and defeat a foe.

Loved Inigo on the spot! He's a complete and utter smarta** although I had a feeling he might be humbled some by his trip to Faerieland. Inigo isn't exactly thrilled when he's kidnapped by faeries and dragged to Oberon's court in order to do a special back tattoo that all the kings have had. Micah is being held hostage by Oberon and is used as the king's latest toy. Micah and his family stumbled across a secret Oberon doesn't want anyone to find so he keeps Micah from leaving. Micah is a fighter and that impressed me. He has a smart mouth, too, until Oberon renders him mute, but that doesn't keep Micah from resisting.

“Good evening, faeries,” Inigo said. “My name is not Inigo Montoya but Inigo Rafael Cavendish Fitzwilliam McIntosh and my father isn’t the issue, but prepare to die anyway.”

If they thought throwing Inigo and Micah in a cell together was a "good" idea then they might have reconsidered if they saw what these two got up to. I can't say a whole lot because it would spoil the tale, not to mention there is so much going on it's a blur. But, in a seriously exciting and adventurous way. I'm not joking when I say this book is seriously thrilling. The secret Oberon is willing to kill to protect, the betrayals at court, trying to find their way back through the Divide, and then stay safe from the faeries Oberon sends after them, all while trying to get word out in Faerieland so the people will rise up… phew, intense!

An absolutely fantastical story and I adored every minute. There is enough humor, treachery, action, adventure, magic, and plain hot sex to keep you enthralled while turning the pages.
